If your formation has not yet been submitted to the relevant government authority, you qualify for a full refund.
Some services may qualify for a partial refund where work has commenced but not been fully completed.
Once a formation has been submitted to the government authority or government fees have been paid, refunds cannot be issued.
This Refund Policy applies to all services purchased through FormationsHQ, including company formation packages, marketplace add-ons, and subscription services. We are committed to fairness and transparency in all our dealings.
By purchasing any service from FormationsHQ, you agree to this Refund Policy. We encourage you to read this document in full before making a purchase. If you have questions, contact our support team before buying.
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. FormationsHQ Limited is registered in England and Wales and based in Manchester, UK.
You are entitled to a full refund of your formation fee if you request cancellation before your application has been submitted to the relevant government authority (Companies House for UK, Secretary of State for US LLC, or the relevant Canadian provincial authority). Requests must be made within 24 hours of purchase.
Once your formation application has been submitted to the government authority, we are unable to issue a refund. This is because:
We do not issue refunds due to standard government processing delays. Formation timelines (2–4 business days) are estimates and not guaranteed. However, if we cause a significant delay through our own error, we will work with you to find a fair resolution — which may include a partial refund or service credit.
If your chosen company name is rejected by the relevant authority for not meeting naming rules, we will assist you in choosing a compliant name at no additional cost. Refunds are not issued for name rejections where the name does not meet the legal requirements of the relevant jurisdiction.
The registered address service is provided as part of your formation package and annual renewal. Refunds for the address service are not available once the address has been used or registered with any government body, bank, or third party.
One-time marketplace services (EIN, ITIN, Logo Design, Business Website, Brand Guide, UK Proof of Address, Business Email Setup) are subject to the following:
To request a refund for a marketplace service, contact us at info@formationshq.com within 48 hours of purchase, clearly stating your order reference and reason for the request.
Monthly subscription services (Premium Support £99/month, Accounting Service £199/month, Virtual Address £79/month, Business Phone Number £59/month) are billed monthly in advance. The following applies:
The annual registered address and compliance renewal fee of £99/year is non-refundable once paid, as it covers your registered address for the upcoming year. If you close your company, you may request to cancel future renewals, but no refund is available for the current year.
Refunds for the annual compliance package are available within 14 days of purchase if no compliance work has commenced. After 14 days or if work has begun, no refund is available.
All government filing fees (Companies House registration fee, Delaware state fee, Canadian provincial fee, IRS EIN processing) are paid to the relevant government authority on your behalf. These fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, as they are collected and retained by the government — not by FormationsHQ.
Government fee amounts vary by jurisdiction and are subject to change. Current amounts are disclosed at checkout before payment is taken.

To request a refund, follow these steps:
Email us within the eligible timeframe
Send your request to info@formationshq.com within 24 hours of purchase for formation services, or 48 hours for marketplace services.
Include your order reference
Provide your order or invoice reference number, the name used at purchase, and your reason for requesting a refund.
We review your request
Our team will review your request and confirm eligibility within 1–2 business days. We may ask for additional information.
Refund issued to original payment method
Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method (credit/debit card or bank transfer) within 5–10 business days.
Once a refund is approved, the following processing times apply:
We do not have control over your bank or card issuer's processing times. If you do not see your refund after 10 business days, please contact us and we will provide proof of the refund transaction.
We ask that you contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank. In most cases, we can resolve the issue quickly and fairly without the need for a dispute process.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your FormationsHQ account. If a chargeback is found to be unwarranted, we reserve the right to recover the amount disputed plus any associated fees.
